UPDATE 5/19/09 - Anisa is great and we really believe she loves everyone of us.  We think she tries to hug us.  She will jump up and put her paws on our shoulders and press her head real hard against our head.  She is so loveable. Someone discribed their dog that they get so excited when they come home they curl up like a shrimp.  Anisa does the exact same thing.
We found that she is a great watch dog. No one can just walk into the house.  We have told our kids that they are not allowed to just have their friends walk in by themselves anymore.  Our kids are instructed to walk in first and then their friends.  She does warm up to everyone once they are in.
We just had a social event this weekend and she was really great with everyone.  Anisa also enjoyed the whole platter of cold cuts.  We are still working on not jumping up and taking the food.
She is really great in the house and has access to the whole house. I am ready to take down the gate to her room that we set up. I am converting this back to my party room where all my food goes when we entertain.
Our walks are getting better.  She still stress a little when she see other dogs but I make her look at me and I tell her to be a good girl and I will keep making her look at me and repeating myself until she settels downs. Then once we pass the dog I stop and give her a big hug and tell her that she is a good girl.  By the way we walk by Gail's house and she has two German Shepard statues in front of her house. We can finally walk by without Anisa going crazy. When we first say them and she was being agressive I let her walk up to them so she would know they are not real but the next day she was ready to go after them again.
We are going to start over with the obiedence class. She does not enjoy them.  She starts out barking at all the dogs and then she shuts down and does not participate in the class. She is a stubborn girl and does not like to be told what to do.
We love our little girl and may consider getting her a buddy once we have a bit more control. Don't tell my husband I said that because he will begin fill out forms today. I need a little more time but I am so glad we found Anisa thanks to Gail.

UPDATE 4/18/09 - Anisa love us and we love her.  She is finally playing fetch a little more and likes to wrestle a little. We set up a seperate room for her at first with a gate. It had some toys a bed and her water bowl.  She did not like being confined so she now has the run of the house. She has not destroyed anything. One or two accidents but that is all. She loves her walks, we walk her about 3 to 4 x's a day and she also enjoys car rides. She is very difficult when she sees other dogs so we have a few training issues with her.  She loves people and does not like to be in a seperate room if you are home.  She does not seem to care for other dogs.
We starte obiedence and are hoping this will resolve her social problem.
She had her first Easter with us and we got her a little doggy basket with treats she seemed to enjoy.
Anisa loves to cuddle while we are sleeping and hogs the bed.
Our whole family loves her and she has met many of our family memebers whom also thinks she is the cutest thing.
We are very happy to have her in our family and our whole family has taken part in taking care of her.

3/13/09- ANISA WAS ADOPTED TODAY!!!!

2/6/09 - Anisa is a young boxer girl who came to rescue from our good friends at
an animal shelter.  She was found as a stray, but she is sweet and kind as can
be.  This petite girl appears to have multiple litters of pups and is on the rather
thin side, but I am working on plumping her up.
She loves to cuddle on the couch or at your feet.  She seeks out love and is
always willing to give it back.  She has met a friend of mine's jack russell terrier
and appears to enjoy this little dog and his high energy.  Her motherly instincts
really come out.
I have been working on playing with toys as she does not chew on anything at all. I'm not sure if this is due to a lack of exposure or just disinterest.   Anisa loves going for walks and rides in the car.   This friendly dog is waiting for a family that will love her as much as she will love them back.

2/1/09 - Thanks to Eileen from the Rochester area, this girl will get to her foster
home today.  Eileen decided to drive the 3 hours from her home to the shelter and back 3 more hours to meet up with me and Gail. Eileen, you sure went above and
beyond the call of duty to help this little thing get in. What a way to spend
Superbowl Sunday!
