UPDATE 10/31/09 - dear foster mom,
just wanted to send a couple of pictures so you no how happy my life is and how loved i am by my forever home.
i have put on some weight since i moved here and i have to say i am looking pretty good.
i have been camping, boating and i live right next to a huge park @ the ocean, where my new mom and dad take me to play.
the twins are great fun and i just cant wait till they are a little older so we can all play together...my grandparents have 2 boxers that i love to play with, there a little bossy but so much fun.
i am no longer nervous in my crate...i bark when i hear noises outside so my mom knows i hear some thing...i am SUPER gentle around the babies and my mom always tells me how good i am. i will still trash surf in the middle of the night if i cant sleep, but hey no one is perfect. i am still not crazy about older men..but we will work on that slowly...i think i will learn to trust again, but it takes time :)
I was a star at doggy obedience class, i was the youngest and was an ace student, you would have been proud of me!
really i just wanted to say thanks for being there for me, you opened your home to me when i really need some one to love me and i wanted to make sure you know how much i appreciated it. you made a huge difference in my life and because of you i had a "second chance" <3
thanks,
BAMBI

UPDATE 8/3/09 - Hi there! Bambi is doing amazing!! She couldn't be a better pup! Bambi loves our twin babies and has tons on big boxer kisses for them! The girls love her just as much. they could watch her run around all day! Bambi has gained some weight. She loves to play fetch and is very good at retrieving any ball or toy.
Im writing from our family camp up north its right on the water and Bambi is loving the water, there are two other boxers here for her to play with and she gets along great with both of them! We took her on her first boat ride and we call her co-captain Bambi now she sat right up front loving every minute of it!!
When we got Bambi we were told she is very skittish around new people and may act aggressive, at first this may.)have been the case but Bambi has come out of this very fast! She barks a couple times when someone new is around but it doesn't take long for her to stop barking and start wagging her lil nub.
Well thats all I can think of for now! We all love Bam very much and are very thankful she is with us!!!!
Sincerly,
Bambi's Mommy

7/7/09 - I was adopted today!!!

7/1/09
- Well, life has certainly taken a turn for me. Let me start at the begining and tell you my story.  My life start just 8 short months ago.  I was with my mother for what seemed like forever, but I guess they tell me it was only about 8 weeks.  Then, I went to a family who loved me, but they had a couple of human babies and they couldn't take care of us all.  That is how I ended up here. It seems like a nice enough place now, but let me tell you, I was some scared.  Once I saw that there were other dogs here and kids I thought, "How bad can it be?"
I tend to bark and be scared first and then see what happens.  Sometimes, I try to be really brave and scare people away by barking at them.  My size just makes them laugh at me.  My foster mom says I need to learn to trust people more.  I'll work on that.  They tell me I'm going to some place called the vet's tomorrow to have a little nip-tuck. I'm not sure what they mean by that, but foster mom says they love boxer pups there so I shouldn't be scared.  Well I'll let you know how that goes.  I'll be ready for my forever home soon!! Don't wait to get that application in! Mom says I won't be here long.
     Love and boxer kisses, Bambi
