UPDATE 1/27/10 - Chelsea is doing wonderful!!  She just passed her obdience school training, and is so happy to show off her new skills.  She is working hard on the "leave it" command when the cats pass her by.
Her and our other dog Jett have bonded and have become close friends.  We are happy to report that she has gained 10 lb.s since her adoption, no longer visible are her ribs and backbones- our vet is happy with her progress.
She still has the habit of carrying toys around in her mouth throughout the house, and occasionaly will be tugging around our sons blankie (he thinks it's funny that Chelsea wants cuddle time).
We couldn't be happier with Chelsea's progress!

11/14/09 - I was adopted today!

11/4/09 -
Chelsea here, I went in for my spay today and I am now at home resting comfortably.  I will be ready for her forever home VERY soon.  Please grab me quick as I will not last long in this rescue.  My FM keeps telling me how AWESOME and Beautiful I am.  She keeps wishing she could keep me.  I get along with everyone and all the rest of the animals.  I sleep through the night and have no problem going into my crate when my FM leaves the house.  Come and get me and let me cuddle with you.  I am a cuddle bug you know.  My FM keeps trying to take pictures of me, but I wiggle my butt so much that the pictures are always blurry.  She will keep trying she said.  She is just going to have to catch me when I am not paying attention.

This is just a quick update of Chelsea.  She arrived here in Moosup a little after 1 this afternoon.  She is just a skinny bundle of kisses and wiggles.  Wow is she cute.  And what a good girl.  My puppy Hendrix and she are the same size. (Hendrix is only 4 1/2 months old (he is HUGE) and she is tiny.)  What a ball the two of them are having!  They met first for a little while each in separate crates.  Chelsea does not like the crate at all.  Once in the crate and her treat given, she was fine.  Its just the getting in the crate is where she is having a problem.  My big boxer Tyson took a little while before we would let them be together.  Tyson sniffed her in her crate for a bit.  Now they are all chasing each other around the house (okay the kitchen) but it really sounds like thunder rolling in.  They have such puppy energy.  Hoping they will tire out soon and sleep.  Chelsea has gone out to do her duty and has had no accidents in the house.  She is such a good girl.  She seems to have adjusted well so far.  Cracking up over here with this intense boxer energy lol.  This is great.  She is certainly not going to last long in the rescue.  She is beautiful.

- This girl is super sweet and hasn't stopped wiggling since she got here.  She is the tiniest boxer I have ever seen, can't be even 40 pounds but she has a super long dock (about 6 inches) so when she gets its going she looks like she is about to take off!  I am calling her Amelia for now.
She is way too skinny:( poor thing.  All her bones are sticking out so I can count even vertebrae.  We are giving her 4-5 smaller meals a day while she is with us as she has been somewhat loose adjusting to the new food.  There was absolutely no keeping her from Ollie.  Those two have been playing non-stop since we introduced them last night.  OMG - two boxers under 1 years old!!! We didn't get any sleep last night!  We tried separating them, but they kept jumping the gates.  Closing doors or crating them just made them bark.  So in the end we just opted for letting them wear each other out.  I think we got peace around 2am.  The funny thing is, neither one of these guys makes any noise while they are playing.  I am so used to hearing grumbling and growling or barking, but these two are silent.  Its like someone hit the mute button or something.  The only thing really keeping us awake was the sound of their collars and feet thumping on the floor.  That and the constant slamming into the side of our bed!
She was way too stinky so we had to give her a bath last night.  She kept trying to climb out when Jim was alone, but once I came in to pet her head, she settled down a little and allowed us to finish up.  So pretty and sweet smelling now!
