| UPDATE 5/3/10 - Jet is doing fantastic .He was fixed back in January all went well . He also had surgery on his scare from when he was a pup. The vet was afraid he would get skin cancer so they closed up the old scare that had exposed skin and all his fur grew back in . He is 11 months now and enjoying life with his two human brothers and his brother from another mother , Rocky , my dad's boxer that spends time with us.
We are all praying for all the boxers out there that they find the love and happiness that we know Jet gets from his human family. UPDATE 2/11/10 - Jet is doing fantastic .He has lots of new doggie friends. We do believe that he is mixed with Lab because he loves being out in the snow ,rain ,cold for hours at a time . He is now neutered and his scare on his hind leg is all fixed. They had to cut a 12" area pull the skin and sew him back up so there is all fur now no bare skin showing. The Vet was afraid he was going to get skin cancer with the size of furless area that kept getting sun burn.He will be going again to a big boy training school soon to learn some more advanced manners. He is a ball of laughs and so much fun for the kids to have along. He has gotten so big we got him the biggest Vari kennel they have so he could stretch out while sleeping. He knows when its bed time all I have to say is " it's time for bed " he gets up from the couch and heads for his house and off he goes to sleep. He knows the boys by name when I say " time to get Jon up " or " time to get Josh up" he heads right for their room and kisses t hem to death.Jet has been in his glory also because we got to dog sit my parents boxer Rocky for a month while they were away. Now my husband knows why I said we should get two dogs, they keep each other busy. A funny story about Jet would have to be watching him find a spot on the couch with all of us on it. He climbs up over everyone and sits on the back cushion or lays on Rocky's back right on top of him. Well have a great winter and we will update you soon again on our funny boy. UPDATE 12/5/09 - Jet is doing great he will be getting fixed coming up soon. I don't think he will be looking forward to that at all. He has a new dog friend named Lola living next door which is great for wearing out the energy of two 6 mos. old pups. They play for hours even in the rain . We are looking forward to seeing how they do in the snow. Should be interesting. I am going to send along some pics so you can put them up on SCBR for all to see how big he has gotten. Hope everyone has a great holiday and a safe New Year. He is doing great and the family just loves him.Looking forward to the snow, because he already likes the rain and swimming. Have a great winter season ,talk to you soon. UPDATE 11/17/09 - Jet is doing great . He is making lots of new friends. In January he will be starting more training classes to keep up his skills. We enjoy him so much ,thank you for letting us adopt him our lives are complete. 8/17/09 - Clayton has been adopted! 7/29/09 - Hi, Clayton here. Well I just got back from the Doctor with my FM. I was really scared at first, but my FM packed my stuffed litter-mate with me so I would not be alone. I cuddled with that and tried to sleep. She held me the whole time kissing me and talking me through it. Then I was not afraid. The doctor was really nice. She said I was a handsome little fella. lol. The doctor said I am very healthy and the spot was caused from a puncture wound from one of my sibs claws or tooth. Hmmmm.... Guess we cannot play so rough. My FM has been keeping the wound nice and clean so the doctor said I do not have to be on any antibiotics AND can join my sibs in the same crate again. Yay. Anxioius to go back and see the nice doctor again. 7/28/09 - Hello, I am Clayton and I am a fun happy puppy. If you want to smile just watch me play. You can watch me eat and you will smile. I am really learning my bark. My FM keeps running over to me to make sure I am alright, and I just look at her and she laughs. I just love to be held, pet and my belly rubbed. If you like to do all the above, then I am the puppy for you. I am growing so quickly. I love to eat. My sibs are the best. Right now I am sad because my FM has put me in a seperate crate from my brother and sisters. She found a spot on me that she is concerned about and I have to see this person called a Veterinarian. Hope he likes to rub bellies and get his ankles nibbled on lol. My FM will keep you all informed on what the spot is on me. I really miss playing with the others. 7/15/09 - Clayton is doing very well. What a comical little boy. He seems to always be the one in the center of attention. He loves to play with anything he get ahold of. He started eating mush today for the first time. He loved it just look at his face covered in mush. What a change from the formula he is so used to. He still gets his bottle between mush feedings. We are working on drinking from a bowl which is going very well. He is certainly one puppy that puts a smile on your face. He looks at you with those eyes and you melt. 7/3/09 - This little guy, along with his brothers and sisters, were set to come into rescue with their Mamma. Sadly, before we could get them up here, she was killed. So there they were, two weeks old and helpless, so Auntie Dee and Aunti Liz became surrogates. All of them were a little weak when they came to us and made everyone a little nervous. But they're started to thrive and have really taken to the bottle feedings. We'll keep you updated as they start to grow and develop personalities (which means learning to escape and get into trouble, right?) We know that Mom was a Boxer but we don't know who dad was, so we're calling them "Boxer Mix". But, pictures speak louder than words. |
| **Note- Because I am a baby, I will need to go where someone is home most of the time- work at home, retired, stay home mom, etc. |
