| UPDATE 4/21/09 - Cody is doing great! He is a big love bug and adores our other Boxer, Duke. Brody weighed in at 62 pounds last week! UPDATE 3/22/09 - Cody fit in immediately with our family. It was obvious from the first encounter that Cody and my other boxer Duke would be best of friends. Cody travels well in the car. Still working with Judy Moore to get into an obedience class. Cody is a big love bug! He seems to pick up new ideas quickly. So glad we found each other. 2/22/09 - Cody has been adopted! 1/31/09 - Cody got his shots today so he is up to date....it appears that as a puppy, his jaw and nose were broken and did not heal properly...his mandible hangs a little lower on the left side and his nose is pushed a little to the left.....his left rear leg was the one broken in a "kennel accident" and that, as well was never treated so in left hip area the bone didn't heal correctly and he has less than 70% mobility in that leg....it does not stop him form running and jumping and playing at all.....the vet did however, hear a very distinct heart murmur and believes it to be SAS (subaortic stenosis) ....she recommended Cody see an cardiologist to diagnose the severity of his condition...she believes that with medication and minimum exertion he should be ok....he is one of the the most affectionate dogs and most willing to please you will ever come across.....just as sweet as can be! 1/22/09 - Please welcome Cody everyone.....the little fellow goes to the vet on Tuesday so we'll have more details then but we just had to give you all a sneak peak at this handsome young stud!!! 1/14/09 - Cody is an owner surrender to a great shelter we work with. Here's some info from the shelter on him. We will be taking him to our vet asap for a thorough check-up on his medical condition. "Surrendered for playing rough with their Pugs, they can't tolerate a young Boxer's behavior. They said he had a broken leg but to look at his hind end, I believe there's more than that going on. He's been super sweet since the moment he walked in the door. He's six months old and is already neutered. " |
