| UPDATE 9/21/09 - It has been 2 months and feels like Eli has been a part of our family for ever. We take him to our reltive's house who have dogs. They play for hours and then they all sleep realy well at night.
We finished puppy class with Eli the week before labor day. My daughter was so happy because she was the one that took him every week with me. The girl that taught the class was great with the three of us. She thought that Tori and Eli should join the 4-H. We will have to see.... UPDATE 8/11/09 - Eli is a wonderful dog. He has taking ver well to our daughter Tori. They play and sleep togeather. We go to our friends house often with Eli and he gets to have lots of play dates with their dogs. We started obedience training and the trainer said that he is beyond where he should be. We started to put Eli on a very good healthy diet and he is taking to it very well. Our vet said he look great. Thankyou scbr for giving our family a wonderful dog.. 7/11/09 - I was adopted today! 6/24/09 - My name is Eli and I am new to this rescue business. I am a little unsure of why I am in a new home but so far so good. I am on my best behavior. I am house trained, I don't jump on people, I come when I am called and I even walk pretty well on a leash. I have seen the cats here and just ignore them. There is one thing I am working on. My foster mom says I have to stay in the crate when she is not home. I really do not like it. She gives me lots of treats in there but it still makes me nervous. I have a little foster sister to play with and although she is smaller than me she sure gives me a run for my money. I will write again if this little one gives me a break from playing. 6/22/09 - Eli arrived at his foster home in RI. He is a very handsome 8 month old boy. He is pretty well behaved (so far) for such a young dog. He has only jumped on me a couple times but responds well to the "off" command. He did try to get on the couch but is learning that is for people only. He knows how to sit and come and takes treats very gently. He pulls on a leash but seems very eager to please so I am sure he will learn quickly. He is working on crate training but does not like it at all. He had a ball playing with Pheobe in the mud yesterday. He has not met any children yet so I will update once I know more about him. |
