| UPDATE 9/27/09 - We just adore our baby Hendrix. What a fun loving playful puppy. Now that all the other foster puppies are out of the house, maybe I can keep up with the updates of my baby. Hendrix went to the Veterinarian for his second set of puppy shots. That is when the Vet informed me that if she was to take an educated guess at what his mix is she would be quite sure boxer/mastiff (YIKES). Very excited about that. He received a clean bill of health YAY. We have not started obedience classes as he is way to young. I am sure I will have fun stories in future updates for everyone. He is sooooo funny. Keeps me smiling, and running lol. He weighs in at 26 pounds (my pet moose). 8/12/09 - I was adopted today! 7/15/09 - Ridge is quite the little guy. He is such a teddy bear. He loves to eat then just plunks himself down to sleep. He will sleep anywhere in any position. Ridge has a cute personality. He is playing with his siblings and anything else he can get ahold of. He is the wanderer of the bunch. Gotta watch him at ALL times. He was the first to let out a bark sound instead of the normal puppy whimper. I think he surprised himself when he did it lol. Soon enough they will ALL be barking up a storm. I will call it talking not barking. Ridge started on mush today and totally enjoyed it. Now that he can sorta bark he lets me know he is HUNGRY. He is still getting his bottles of formula in between mush feedings, but really rather lap it up from the bowl. He is growing like a cow. He is a mommas boy though but I don't mind. Ridge weighs in at 2.15 pounds. 7/3/09 - This little guy, along with his brother and sisters, were set to come into rescue with their Mamma. Sadly, before we could get them up here, she was killed. So there they were, two weeks old and helpless, so Auntie Dee and Aunti Liz became surrogates. All of them were a little weak when they came to us and made everyone a little nervous. But they're started to thrive and have really taken to the bottle feedings. We'll keep you updated as they start to grow and develop personalities (which means learning to escape and get into trouble, right?) We know that Mom was a Boxer but we don't know who dad was, so we're calling them "Boxer Mix". But, pictures speak louder than words. |
| ** Note- because I am a baby, I will need to go where someone is home alot- stay at home, retired, work at home, etc. |
