UPDATE 2/22/10 - Jill is doing great!  Jill has settled in very nicely and very comfortable with her surroundings.  In the weeks following the adoption, I did notice that she was not gaining weight and brought her back to the vet. It was found that she had hook worms and they put her on medication.  After speaking with one of the fosters, it was said that this was her 3rd bout with them... I'm happy to say that she is now hook worm free and she has gained 7lbs since!  She loves to run even when it is just her, but also loves to play with others.  She does have some Separation anxiety when left in the crate (mostly whining and barking), but we are making progress!  She is a smart girl, but like her brother Jack, has her stubborn moments... She stays off the furniture, follows basic sit and stay commands and is laid back.  She has play group in our large yard a couple days during week and goes to a nearby dog park often to socialize (she loves running full speed in wide open areas).  She is a very, very affectionate dog and lets you know when she wants something.  I am very happy with Jill and she has been an absolute doll to have around.

11/15/09 - I was adopted today!

- Jill has arrived!  After spending 3 months in a dog pound with her brother Jack, they were sprung but unfortunately, separated and brought to their new foster homes.  Jill is a very sweet and affectionate girl!  She's extremely happy to be here and gets along great with my nine-year-old male Boxer, Mickey.  She absolutely craves attention and gives you lots of kisses and Boxer wiggles!  She is also great with my 2-year-old niece and 5-year-old nephew but knows that they're small and doesn't jump on them or try to knock them over.  However, they're both short enough to get a total face washing from the happy girl!  Jill is a good eater and will need to gain a few pounds in order to fill out - she's a bit on the thin side right now.  She goes into the crate without objection and doesn't make a peep while in there.  We will be working with Jill on some leash skills but she is already making great progress.  She has already been on two long hikes with me and Mickey and absolutely loved it!  It doesn't seem that Jill will be in foster care for very long...She's beautiful, sweet and an all-around WONDERFUL little girl!
