we just will hink of it as a 2 week vacation between the dog and us she had a blast and came back a new happier dog she was always happy but as the volunteers told me  all she needs is love we thought not having a home and yard for her to run free that she was being deprived of freedom but less then 48 hours into surrendering her forget it our hearts droped and we made a huge huge mistake we had 6 years to that date with her whats another 6 more you know

2/15/09 - TommyGirl has been adopted!

2/3/09 - Oh Tommy – whadda a girl!   Yes, Tommy is a girl… petite, pretty and loving. If humans aren’t around to cuddle, she snuggles up with her “Teddy” as you can see in one of her pictures.  Tommy came from a very caring home where she has lived her entire lifetime.  Due to a number of very unfortunate financial and health problems, her owner sorrowfully had to surrender her.  He came to
this conclusion after much anguish, but realized that this is the best decision for both him and her.   Let me tell you that she is beautifully groomed and cared for.  She is perfectly housebroken, walks on a leash without any pulling and follows her basic commands to the T.   Initially she was a bit overwhelmed in our home where she went from being the ‘only’ dog to ‘one of the gang.’  She loves all adults whom she has met – no children have been around yet, but from the window she watches them walk to school.  Loves my adult son and his friends – is very mellow and much prefers cuddling to wild activity.  More posts to come.
