1/10/09- Wilson was adopted today by a lovely family who loved him so much they drove overnight from Western NY to Maine. He's now known as "Nigel".

12/10/08 - What are puppies to do after they have successfully protected the
known world from the stuffed toy army that descended upon the house?!?!? Have
a celebratory romp in the decapitated bodies, of course!!!! What else?!?!

Here are Shelby and Wilson at play amidst the carnage.

12/7/08 - These poor babies come up from the South yesterday and wake up to
snow this morning... poor guys are freezing! I just so happened to have these
sweaters left over from when WE moved up here from the south....

wait, ew, the people scratched and the dogs licked...) Even my old man, Shadow,
pups around here... maybe we'll all get some sleep tonight.  So aside from my
had a ball with all those free hands just petting away. There are some TIRED
pups around here... maybe we'll all get some sleep tonight.  So aside from my

fashion statement pics sent a little while ago, here are some that may be even
better for the website than those I sent yesterday.

12/6/08 - This 7 month old boxer mix boy came up with Auntie Julie in the group
today from a high kill shelter we work with.   I named him for one of the towns in
the county where he went into rescue. (It was either this or Hoover) He's a sweet
boy who is settling in her perfectly already. He's a toy thief, but will eat very gently
out of my hand. He's a little head shy, so someone obviously used to hit him. He
was a little skittish of me at first, but now hides behind me while still antagonizing
the bigger doggie kids. He's got his head resting on my knee as I type this. He's
got the fawn and white markings of a boxer, and the rolling gait, but that's about
all the boxer genetics he got. His tail curls back around itself and he has the ears
of a hound. He's up to date on everything but needs to be neutered before he can
go home. He's just too sweet to be believed!!
