| UPDATE 5/28/09 - SHe is doing awesome! Better everyday. She loves it here and we love her. She is wonderful with our two month old son and she has been a great addition to our family. we couldn't be happier! UPDATE 3/16/09 - "Zara" or Maggie as she is now known is doing great! It's like she has always lived with us. She is definitely a lap dog, or thinks she is and just loves to cuddle! She starts obedience training tonight so we'll let you know how that goes. So far, she has been getting better with basic commands such as sit but some training is definitely due. She loves to look out the window and watch what is going on in the neighborhood. Her leash skills are getting better but again she will definitely benefit from some training in that area too. Her health is great. She was at the vet two weeks ago and everything is a ok. She has begun taking her interceptor and heartguard and she got a microchip. Just in case she gets the urge to run off. Since she was found stray we didn't want to take the chance. Otherwise she is doing great! She was around a few of our friends kids this weekend and she absolutely loved them, including my 3 month old niece. This is good news since we have a baby coming in about 6 weeks. I think she'll love being a big sister. 2/21/09 - Zara has been adopted! 1/15/09 - Zara is doing very well. She is sweet & gentle. She even managed to win over the heart of my big grumpy boxer boy which is amazing. She is house trained & crated trained although I only crate her when I leave, she sleeps at the fot of our bed at night. She simply is a fantastic little girl. Zara is a little love bug, she loves to cuddle and give hugs. Zara loves to play & would do best in a home with another dog, she does well with both males & females. She is very gentle so she would be great with small kids. We are working on Zara's leash manners. She LOVES to be outside & people watch. She is an all around top dog and would make a special family very happy!!! 1/4/09 - What can I say about this little peanut. She is just a little doll. She is very sweet & gentle. She seems to have learned her place pretty quick. Zara LOVES to be outside in the yard, she is my little yard warrior. She is skinny but is eating well. She spent all night in the crate whit just a few whimpers. She has had no accidents in the house & does not seem to interested in toys but she LOVES to rough house with other dogs. I think Zara would do best with another playmate. She is settling in fine & we are working on her manners, leash training & basic commands. She does not seem to know any commands but responds well to a firm no. She is a Love Bug & seems to prefer men over woman so far. Will update more in a few days! 1/3/09 - Here she is! Both Bubba & I are in love. She needs a little weight which will be no problem as her appetite seems to be very good. So far so good. She is a little cuddle bunny. Will update more in a few days! |
