UPDATE 4/5/10 - The dogs are adjusting nicely. They love to follow me around the house and be right near me at all times. Now that the nicer weather is here we have been testing their wilderness skills, they are very found of trail walking/running. We went to the conservation center and due to all the rain the river is right up to the embankment and he tried to get close to drink the water and fell in..THANK GOD it was in an area of an small inlet so he didn't get washed away..the current was pretty fast...He looked so scared he was clinging to a root ball of a fallen tree near the shore. He didn't drink for the rest of the walk.

UPDATE 2/23/10 - Jessie is settled in nicely, we call her gracie because she is truly graceful- Sh can jump an end-table, up into the back of my big SUV, or onto the bed at night so lightly you don't even know she's there till morning. She is like a ballerina in the snow. She walks up on her tip toes like she is wearing point shoes for ballet. When we take her outside she walks on the deck which we have to shovel off for her (or she pees on it) and then she walks on a granite wall we have surrounding the deck, so her toes don't touch the snow. She looks so graceful just like a tight rope walker-it is hilarious to watch. She has a personality of her own-petite and powerful-is what her nickname is..don't mess with her, she looks for the biggest dog at the dog park to take on....every time.
Bandit likes to rip it up in the yard he is SO fast, he LOVES the snow the higher the better, he leaps like a Deer in it.  He loves to play with a big red rubber ball with a rope through it, she tries to get the other end of the rope and he shakes his head back and forth and hits her with the ball, then she gets mad and tries to bite his legs.
We started obedience class with them last week and the trainer says 2 girls usually butt heads so he makes my husband work with "miss grace" boy does she give him a run for his money, she makes him work.
I work Bandit at training-My big gentle boy is still a little skiddish around new people he is getting better at not urinate when he is in new situations, he just needs some guidance and support to trust again. He wants to please me so much he is awesome to work with, excellent eye contact, not to mention the fact that he is gorgeous to watch. All in all we are doing well and are happy that we chose to adopt from SCBR for a second time.

UPDATE 1/29/10 - Jessie is adjusting much better that bandit. You can tell she is use to hogging all the attention bandit is happy to hang in the background and wait his turn. We have taken then to teh local dog boutique called Charlie's Paw wash it has dog washing and drying stations they did wonderful jessie like to run up the ramps! They both did well with the BIG blow dryer. They hang out during the day and are crated when we leave We tried a trial run and left them alone for 41 minutes while we had breakfast....2 liquid and 1 solid accident and SOMEONE chewed the corner of their new tempurpedic (?sp) dog bed !!
We call Bandit the Gentle Giant he towers over Jessie and is so peaceful and loving when he lets you near him. He is skittish at first when new people enter especially males, but warms up if they leave him alone and let him come to them. Jessie will then bully her small-size frame to hog the attention.
We are so pleased to welcome them to our home, They are outstanding and I can't believe someone gave them up but also thankful that we were the ones to find them -

1/22/10 - I was adopted today!
