UPDATE 4/2/11 - Sorry I'm late with my update. I just wanted to let you know how great we're doing. Tyson is an extremely lovable dog. It took him a little while but he now seems right at home. He loves playing with toys and running and playing in the backyard. He has gained weight and looks fantastic. His trip to the Vet was very good and he is very good when I give him a bath. I can't put into words how happy I am that Tyson is part of my family.

UPDATE 12/29/10 - Tyson is doing wonderful. He's a beauty!! He did very well with his bath and at the Vet's office. He has put on a few pounds and now looks great! He loves to play and run around the yard. He "sings and talks" somewhat as boxers tend to do. He's quite funny! He's such a perfect addition to our family!

UPDATE 11/29/10 - Just wanted to give you the update on the boys (Elvis and Tyson V). They are doing great. They're being extremely spoiled. They went to the Vet the day after I got them on Nov 22nd and got checked over. They enjoyed a great Thanksgiving dinner with all the fixin's. They have the run of the house and sleep with me each night (taking up 3/4 of the bed of course!) They've had fun playing out in the yard. I've noticed a gradual increase in trust which is heartwarming. It took Tyson a bit longer than Elvis but he is now coming around beautifully.
There's only a couple of problems with Elvis. I've learned he can open my refrigerator door and reach just about anywhere on my countertops so I've installed a few "childproof" gadgets. The other problem has been to teach Elvis (in a loving way) that he is not the boss of the house and every living creature around him. He is an old dog as the saying goes, but I'm hoping with patience and kindness Elvis will understand that we're all equally important in this house.
Talk to you next month. Hope all is well with the rest of the furry friends.

11/21/10 - Tyson V has been adopted!

11/14/10 - TysonV continues to amaze me.  It has been only a week and he has settled down now that he is fully integrated into the family/pack.  The introductions went smoothly and he is much calmer not being separated from the pack.  The sun shine of this week, being with the family, some necessary medications and good groceries are helping his healing process, and now he actually now sleeps through the night and is good when left home alone.  He is very polite and I cannot say enough good things about this boy.

11/9/10- Tyson had his Vet appointment Monday and is now home recuperating.  His leash manners have improved a great deal with just a little gentle direction.  He learns very quickly.  He does have some separation anxiety and does not like to be left alone.  But is a perfect gentleman when in the same room with his person.  He marked several spots in the family room when we arrived home on Friday.  But after some serious conversations and remediation of said subject, has not had an "accident" in the house since.  He is a sweet, gentle dog.

11/5/10 -
We picked Tyson up this morning and he was a perfect passenger all the way home.  He lived with cats and 6 children (ages 6 months to 11 years old) and was said to be good with all.  He was surrendered due to his home felt they had too many children to give Tyson enough time too.  I just introduced him to the youngest of my girls, Anneke which went well.  He was a bit overwhelming for her until she put a stop to it.  All those hormones raging around.  He is going to spend the afternoon running a bit in the yard and then into the crate for a nap.  Don't know how he feels about this plan, but it is what it is.  Has an appointment with the Vet for Monday morning.  He is a bit thin but we will put some weight on him soon.  He is a smaller boy boxer, very loving.
